My Tarot Philosophy

I have studied the Tarot in-depth over the past 40 years. I have dived deeply into subjects both mundane and esoteric, including its history and application. I own approximately 100 Tarot Decks and an additional 30 Oracle Decks. I choose to spend a significant amount of time learning about each deck, particularly the intent of its creator/designer. My Reading style is querent-centered; however, I am also an empathetic and intuitive reader. My interpretation of your Reading combines the knowledge I have gained from my years of study with the impressions I receive from your energy and the stories revealed to me by the imagery and symbology of the cards that present during your Reading.

We begin the reading with you posing a question for the cards to explore. I prefer to begin a Tarot Reading ‘blind’, by which I mean that you do not share your question with me at the start of the Reading. In fact, you never have to share your question with me in order for me to interpret your Reading. Although that may limit the amount of information I am able to provide, it encourages you to ask questions that you might otherwise feel are too personal or private to share even with your Tarot Reader. After an initial interpretation of your reading, I will often say that I have shared as much as I am able to given that I do not know your question. At that point, you can again decide whether you would like to share your question with me. This will always be at your individual discretion.

​At this point in my professional career, my remuneration and fee scale are based on the Buddhist principle of Dana, meaning that which is freely given. I read for donation only, and I consider “Thank You” to be reasonable compensation in many circumstances. However, there are costs associated with my Tarot business and my time is valuable. I will maintain this current fee structure as long as it is financially soluble. I encourage those who can to make a monetary donation so I can continue to provide Readings to those who are less able.

1) Confidentiality – your personal information and Reading will not be shared with anyone without your permission.

2) Trust – I will never take advantage of my querents in any way. I will not allow my querents to become addicted to or dependent on my Tarot Readings.

3) Non-judgment – You will never be judged for the issues/ questions you bring to a Reading.

4) Empowerment – My goal as a reader is to empower you to live your life with joy and confidence and make your own decisions. I will not tell you what to do. I may make suggestions and provide ideas about a situation, but ultimately you are the expert of your own life.

5) Future Predictions – I prefer to focus my Readings in the present moment, since your point of power is in the NOW. I do not believe the future is set in stone; therefore, I choose not to make predictions about the future. Tarot cards can indicate where things are headed in a general sense, based on your present circumstances, but ultimately, how your future unfolds depends on how you think, feel and act. Your Reading can help identify your blocks and strengths so you can create more of what you want in your life.

6) Other People – I prefer to focus the Reading on YOU; therefore, I am unable to answer questions about other people without their permission.

7) Mental Health – A Tarot Reading is not a substitute for professional psychological, legal, medical or financial advice.

8) Age Restrictions – I will not Read for anyone under the age of 18 without the permission and/or presence of a parent or guardian
